Q: How can I get help with the on-line registration system?
A: Call the toll-free tech support hotline whose number is 800-817-5977. The hotline is staffed 12 hrs a day.
Q: Can I print out an application and send it in by mail?
A: No. The Chivas Simi Valley Invitiational Cup does not accept printed or mailed tournament applications. The process on-line registration improves the accuracy of our application process and helps us keep costs (and your entry fees) down.
Q: What happens to my entry fee if my team is not accepted?
A: Your entry fees are refunded if you are not accepted into the tournament. If you paid by cashier's check or by credit card, you will receive a refund check in the mail.
Q: I can wait and pay the tournament application fee after I am accepted?
A: No. The Tournament Competition Committee will only consider your application for acceptance after the payment has been received.
Q: Since I was only a day late with my application, you will take our team anyway since it is a really good one, right?
A: No, we do not accept applications from teams who are late. Your team will be placed on a wait list and subject to an additional late entry fee of $25.
Q: What is the official hotel of the tournament?

The tournament games will be held May 2nd and 3rd at 15 field located at Arroyo Vista Recreational Center, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark, Ca 93021
From the West: Take Highway 101 East. Exit Freeway 23 North. Exit Tierra Rejada Road. Turn LEFT on Tierra Rejada. Stay on Tierra Rejada Rd until you reach Countrywood. Turn RIGHT at Countrywood. Follow the access road to the bottom of the hill.
From the East, South, and North: Take Highway 5, 405, or 210. Exit to Highway 118 West. Stay on the 118 West. Exit Tierra Rejada Road. Turn RIGHT on Tierra Rejada Rd. Stay on Tierra Rejada Road until you rich Countrywood. Turn RIGHT at Countrywood. Follow the access road to the bottom of the hill.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Each Head Coach is responsible for assuring the eligibility of his/her players, Violations will result in the removal of the team from the tournament and a complete forfeiture of registration fees.
A) Only players appearing on the team’s approved roster will be eligible. There is 5 players limit on loan players.
B) USYSA laminated player passes (properly validated by the District Commissioner and/or Registrar) will be required for all players. Any player who fails to provide a player pass before the game will be unable to play. Player passes and equipment check will be completed 30 minutes prior to each game.
C) CYSA-S requires that all players provide a valid medical release form.
D) CYSA-S requires that all players wear shin protectors during all games.
E) Teams from outside CYSA-S must provide proper travel papers.
AGE GROUPS
a) Boys: U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17
b) Girls: U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16. U17, U18/ U19
The maximum roster size for U9/U10 teams is 14 players and U11 - U18/19 is 18 players per team.
RULES OF PLAY
a) FIFA rules as modified by USYSA and CYSA-S will apply.
b) The Tournament Director will settle all disputes. NO PROTESTS WILL BE ALLOWED.
c) ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, AIR HORNS, ELECTRONIC AMPLIFICATION DEVICES OR EXPLOSIVE DEVICES ARE PERMITTED AT THE FIELDS.
Home team is listed first in the schedule. Home team has choice of sideline, provides a game ball (if not furnished by the Tournament) and changes jerseys when uniform colors conflict.
Games will start on time. Failure to take the field within a 5 minutes grace period will result in a forfeit by the offending team.
Unlimited substitutions are allowed: either team on a goal kick or after a goal, team in possession on a throw-in, injured or cautioned players may be substituted.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COACHES AND PARENTS
a) It shall be the duty of each coach and Parent to Coaches are responsible for control of the sideline. Conduct them selves in accordance with the CYSA-S Code of conduct. Uphold tournament rules and regulations. Provide positive encouragement to players. Spectators must be on the same side as their team. No one is allowed behind the goals.
b) No more than two coaches will be allowed on the sideline. Coaches shall remain within 10 yards of the midfield line on their respective side of the field.
c) Player ID cards must be given to the Field Marshall 30 minutes prior to the start of the game for player check-in. Players cards will be returned to the team representative after each game. The Game Card must be signed by the team coaches after each game.
d) Each head coach will have a current emergency medical release form for every team member in his possession at all times.
COMPETITION
a) If a team is not on the field of play and ready to start the game within 5 minutes of the schedule start time, or fails to check-in at mandatory registration, the game shall be deemed a forfeit. The game will be recorder as a 0-1 loss.
b) Teams are schedule to play ¾ lengths (regulation time) preliminary games. U9 teams play 8 v 8. Preliminary and semi-final matches are: U10 thru U14 play 25 minutes halves; U15 thru U19 play 30 minutes halves. Championship games play regulation time.
c) Preliminary games may end in a tie. Quarter-Final and Semi-Final games ending in a tie go immediately to FIFA kicks from the mark. Championship games tied after regulation time play two five minute’s overtimes; games still tied go to FIFA kicks from the mark. There is NO GOLDEN GOAL in overtime. The Head Field Marshal has authority to shorten games.
POINT SYSTEM
Preliminary games are awarded points as follows: Win 3 points, Tie 1 point, Loss 0 points. No bonus points.
For teams tied for advancement after preliminary games, the following tie breakers apply, in order, until a winner is determined: head to head, most total wins, goals differential, fewer goals allowed, most goal scored, most shut-out wins. If still tied, FIFA kicks from the mark to determine a winner will be done.
GAME LENGTH
No injury time will be added to the game. Games that start late will have the time subtracted from the length of play for that half. There will be a five minute rest period between halves.
Additional Rules and Regulations for Preliminaries
Preliminary games will be terminated not less than 5 minutes prior to the schedule start of the next game regardless of the amount of time played in each half up to that point. A game is complete upon completion of one half of play regardless of the circumstances of termination during the second half. Preliminary games can end in a tie.
Additional rules and Regulations for Semifinals
In the event of a tie after regulation, the teams will proceed directly to penalty kicks, as described by FIFA. Only the eleven players on the field at the conclusion of regulation may participate.
Additional rules and Regulations for Finals.
In the event of a tie after regulation, two overtime period of 5 minutes will be played. There will be a five minutes rest period between the end of the regulation and the beginning of overtime, there will no be a rest period between a first and second overtime period. Teams will change sides for the 2nd overtime period.
If the teams are still tied after overtime, both teams will take penalty kicks, as described by FIFA. Only the eleven players on the field at the conclusion of the overtime may participate.
DISCIPLINE (FOUL/MISCONDUCT)
Player foul and/or misconduct will be handled in accordance wit CYSA-S Rules and Regulations. Harassment of the Referees will not be tolerated. Spectators or coaches may be asked to leave the field at the discretion of the Tournament Officials. The center referee may eject the team coach or parent for lack of control of the sideline.
Any coach or player receiving a RED CARD is ineligible for the remainder of the game and the next game.
Where a player receives two (2) yellow cards in a single game, it will be considered the same as if that player receives a red card. A player or coach receiving two red cards will be removed from the tournament.
In the event of FIGHTING, ASSAULT OR FALSIFICATION OF CREDENTIALS, the player, coach or spectator is ineligible for the remainder of the tournament and may not be present at any tournament site. Offenders will be reported to their governing Association.
Tournament officials will review the following for disposition and may impose additional sanctions:
All red and yellow cards issue.
All games forfeited or terminated for cause.
Teams refusing to complete the game will forfeit that game. Tournament officials may impose further sanctions.
NO PROTEST WILL BE ALLOWED
Any interpretation of the Tournament Rules and resulting decisions pertaining to the Chivas Simi Valley Invitational Cup is at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director and is FINAL.
